Happy Monday GORGEOUS!

Gosh, I feel like it has been so long. HI!!!

In 3 hours I will turn in the FINAL edit of my book. To commemorate this special time I have made a promise to myself. Live the life you write about Kris. Stop bossing everyone else around and start listening to yourself. Ok, Ok, FOR REAL, OK!

Funny, the universe runs on perfect timing. Check it out this email that drove to my inbox this morning, I think it's a cyber message from JBEE (if you don't know my silly lingo by now, that means Jesus, Buddha, Elvis Etc). :)

"I want to live my next life backwards.
You start out dead and get that out of the way.
Then you wake up in an old age home feeling better every day.
Then you get kicked out for being too healthy.
You enjoy your retirement and collect your pension.
Then when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day.
You work 40 years until you're too young to work.
You get ready for High School: drink alcohol, party, and you're generally promiscuous.
Then you go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, and you have no responsibilities.
Then you become a baby, and spend your last 9 months floating peacefully in luxury, in spa-like conditions: central heating, room service on tap.
And then...you finish off as an orgasm.
I rest my case."

I think Robert Benson wrote this, if not, sorry real author. Don’t sue me.

Because we are part of this Crazy Sexy Family, part of our list also includes educating ourselves and bringing health and vitality into our lives. I bow to you. Do you bow to you? Once again I am reminding myself to play. God is in the play especially when we add heaping cakes of soul seeking. As always, it’s an ACTIVE balance (meaning it just doesn't poof, happen).

Peace and furious typing,
Kris

Wow, the universe really is awesome! I've really had a hard time trying to fit it all in and as I was making the hubby watch with me for this 50th viewing, it really sunk in what you guys were saying about how you don't get spiritual "you are spiritual". It was such an "oh", I get it now moment.

Congrats on finishing the book!! Can't wait to read it!
I love this post....The whole time I was reading my head was nodding :)

I have a hard time finding that balance. I am getting better with my nutrition but I always leave my mind in the backseat somewhere. And I think that is just as if not more important. But why is that so dam hard??

Great post Kris! And I am loving the forum! So fun, and such a warm place to get support.

You go girl!!

Hugs,
Cathy

Thank you Kris. Congratulations on completing your book.

Thank you for the beautiful flower and lovely blue sky...I truly needed that.

Have a Happy, Healthy St Patrick's day...and instead of corned beef and green beer, eat extra green veggies today...

Peace.

Balance you say? Like a teeter totter on the playground? I was never good at that thang. Now with life and death in the balance I choose to run from end to end of the teeter totter just to get that woooosh feeling when everything tips over the middle. Remember playing that dangerous game when your mom wasn't looking?

Ok, seriously, balance. I just don't think it happens in this life. A very wise old kid minister once told me that by God's design we are all out of balance, and only in community do we find something like balance. Some of us like loud music, some soft music, some silence. Each of us teaching the other about who we are and who we aren't, as individuals and as the family of humans.

Solitude teaches us some things, but in community we seek balance because of the continuous push and pull between others and ourselves. Eventually we learn we are all connected so breathe and body surf instead of fighting the waves.

We are divine spirits. What a day to rejoice and be glad in it.

May we each find a moment for ourselves and each other...because we are by design God(etc)'s Beloved.

Congrats on the book kiddo! God is smiling with you. Now can you come out to play? hahahaha

I understand that feeling of the quickly approaching deadline and it can be tough. Hang in there!

Thank you for sharing this quote, it gave me chills. I've been feeling the same way lately (about practicing what I preach). I feel like I'm bursting to tell people about this amazing way of life. Ideas, hopes, and new powerful knowledge is always swimming around in my brain. At the same time, the things we do on a smaller scale (meditation, yoga, juicing, living and eating green, self-care) that allow us to give more to others. And sometimes I need to remember to just listen.

The community that you have created has been my guiding light. I am reminded on a daily basis to do these nourishing and positive things because of the CSL posse! It is so exciting to think of all that this community has done for people and the creative and powerful things that are to come. I can't wait to read your new book.

Kris - My day is off to a great start due to your wonderful image of a beautiful sunflower AND the idea that if we lived life backwards we could end it all with the big "OOOOOO"!!! Now THTAT'S an interesting concept! I've come to terms with death and dying - had I known this earlier I wouldn't have spent much time pondering the whole damn process!!! Thanks, kiddo - keep up your great work. M

I simply love this quote!! Lately I have been saying to my hubby, "now that the kids are in college I feel so old and what do we do now?" You have reminded me to rephrase this to " We could do anything now!" (I did just start a belly dancing class woo-hoo!)

Many congratulations on your book Kris, you are one of those people who I call an angel walking around here on earth :)

And some good news...just got word that my PET scan done on Friday came back clear! In June I will be 5 years post lung cancer!!

Good Fabulous Monday to you Kris!
I want to enlarge that quote and wallpaper my house with it.. hubby would be mad but hey, it's my house too! Yeah on the book!!! your fingers must be sore!

I just finished a very revealing meditation.. it is my Osho mind/body balancing guided one...you talk to your body, make friends with it, ask it what you can do better etc... the message my body sent me is exactly what you are saying.. it asked for singing, for joy, for lightness.. the mental images were of heavy stones, beating me with guilt, laying on my mind with worry, in my feet with heaviness, in my intestines as toxins... all needed to get transformed.. they turned into butterflies.. light airy ethereal colorful butterflies....
We all need to dump our "stones" and embrace the crazy 10 year old that is who we really are! So do some cartwheels, blow on a dandelion, sing a silly song and play like you mean it!

love love love you my friend!
DEB Mayor csville...new owner of many beautiful butterflies!

Kris, I am anxiously awaiting your next book. How much more could you possibly change my life!?
Remember to slow down everyone. Life has gotten too crazy for me and I finally just stopped last night, sat on the couch with my loved one, and enjoyed nothing. Just my dogs. It was fantastic.
Love you all.

I am finally, FINALLY feeling like my old self. Ughh... what a long time coming. I am feeling positive again, hit the gym this morning, after my sabbatical... I just feel alive. I honestly haven't felt this way in a long time it seems... I missed it and wondered if it would ever return.
Thanks for your inspiration!

Kris your entry today on balance reminded me of watching little dogs doing dog agility on the teeter totter. The big dogs have it pretty easy, they just have to make sure to touch all the contact points. The little dogs have to know how to wait for the high end of the teeter totter to come down.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dog_agility

Teeter-totter (or seesaw)
A 10 to 12 foot (3 to 4 m) plank pivoting on a support, much like a child's seesaw. It is constructed slightly

off-balance so that the same end always returns to the ground. This is done either by placing the support slightly

off-center or else weighting one end of the board. This obstacle also has contact zones. However, unlike the other

contact obstacles, the teeter-totter does not have slats. The balance point and the weight of the plank must be such

that even a tiny dog, such as a Chihuahua, can cause the high end of the teeter-totter to descend to the ground

within a reasonable amount of time, specified by the sanctioning organization's rules (usually about 2 seconds).

Smaller dogs get more time to run a course, and this is one reason why it can take them longer than it takes larger

dogs.

Right now, as I'm waiting to hear from various job applications, I feel like a teeny tiny dog on a teeter totter, waiting for that high end to lower down to the ground.

Congrads on finishing. I hope you can have some R&R as my dad would say. I have so much sympathy for this post. I so understand. Funny when I began this a year ago I thought the diet would be the hard part. That part is easy that and the workout. The real challenge is to moderate my stress and to now over work.. hahahha.. vat... overwork.. is there such a thing as not.. and to Take time and give back to myself.

This week had big my first week on the road. And like most first weeks they have been full of frustrations and high points. I overbooked and underpacked. Had to re order packets by fed ex.. and then buy clothes. Had to fly back for a family emergency that worked out and then fly out again. And tackle the husky problem. Six in my care this weekend. Wow.. all the while juggling talking schedule and writing. I am a bit behind on basic work and computers have to be delivered and life worked. So I so get it. Duncan made me a handy dandy little life manager that forces me to take breaks and pause and not get so over done I get emotional. I love those weeks that you talk on healing the go into the bathroom and cry in frustration. NOT COOL. That we me this weekend. One karmic run in after another. OH well.. I lived and learned and next week will be better and I will be better at it.

But Kris you have done a great job. Being a guru takes practice and you are going great. You have done so much in this year. And the last six months have been a workout for you whole being. I am glad you will be taking some time to schedule in the rest and peace you need. And know we love you.

Happy Easter week. No matter how you slice it, it is a nice week for renewal, white bunnies, fresh flowers and awakenings. Love you all. Callie and Duncan sends his love. Hugs.

Wow Kris! Yay for you!!!!!! You know I can't wait to read another book by YOU! I still need to get the movie too. What am I Dr. Suess? LOL

How are you handling all this? It seems the more you say, write, film, the more demand there is for more of you. It's easy to say you are going to start taking it easy, but with so much demand for you, I bet it's not that easy. I appreciate all that you do. The books, the film, the guest speaking, it is a gift to everyone who is lucky enough to catch it. But please, really do take it easy. Chill out. Take care of yourself. I love the picture for this blog post. Sunflowers are my favorite flower.

Love you mamasita! Go jump in the puddles! Go for a hike! Take a blanket and cuddle with Brian under the trees! Go make mudpies and then take a bubblebath together!

Kris,
Hooray for you. I'm getting out the pom poms & doing a cheer!
Love the sky & sunflower, so beautiful. I'm in the middle of a 5 week no work before I return to Mpls, bringing myself into balance. I've felt a smidgen of guilt with no money coming in, but the freedom of enjoying everyday life of being on vacation is simply intoxicating. The orange blossoms & jasmine flowers are coming out & in the evening it is like being in paradise.
Thanks for the poem. I know exactly who in my life needs to hear it. I've arrived at that spot & don't apologize for it. Love hearing from you. Take a break!
