Happy Weekend Earth Lovers!

Hi saucy seekers!

On Saturday (tonight), March 29, 2008, Earth Hour invites people around the world to turn off their lights for one hour – from 8:00pm to 9:00pm in their local time zone. On this day, cities around the world, including Copenhagen, Chicago, Melbourne, Dubai, and Tel Aviv, will hold events to acknowledge their commitment to energy conservation. This event is created by the wonderful folks at the World Wildlife Fund

Let's dive in and represent as the strong & unified CSL community. Tonight, as a group, let's light candles, say prayers and do a global meditation for peace. What do ya say? Our collective green energy has major VAVOOM, pour it out.

Peace & intentional darkness,

Lights off at 8pm. What a wonderful, peaceful way to globally unite our world in coming together to recognize the changes going on & to work towards changing how we live to save our planet!!

I watched this video last night and found it to be very very captivating. It is called "he Story of Stuff" by Annie Leonard & it "exposes the connections between a huge number of environmental and social issues, and calls us together to create a more sustainable and just world."

Check it out @: http://www.storyofstuff.com/

I was going to post this on CSL too!! It really puts things into perspective!!

Happy Greening! xoxoxo

Here in Young land we are getting ready, it is the best idea ever!
We made Goony's Earth ball fudge, guys these are nirvana and they are raw!
For games, we are playing bingo, twister (!), Clue and Monopoly. Sam and I made scary story cards, everyone takes turns and tells one minute of scariness prompted by the words on the card, creepy fun!
We are off to get firewood, got the flashlight and candles, so fun!
Happy Earth Night.. we are the ones that will start the planet healing.. we have to do it now.. there is no later..

Wasn't that awesome! I laid on the floor on blankets and my biomat and gazed through the sky light at the stars - snoozed a bit between prayers. How about you?

Our earth hour has concluded here. My daughter was too cute about it! She called all her friends to wish them a "happy earth hour". They had no idea what she was talking about. Needless to say she filled them in and got a chain of friends celebrating by turning out the lights! How fun it was!

I was flying on a plane today, so never went out to buy candles for the occasion. So I was in total darkness except when I used my light from my cellphone :) Good times!
I tried meditating and so many "monkeys" are bouncing around in my head! haha!!

So Kris after watching all the special features on CSC I decided that you should do videos here on this blog. I know you're not busy enough, so I just want to give you something to do. kidding. Seriously though I finally tried a green smoothie after seeing the video.
We can't get enough of you here :)
Sorry you already do too much, so I shouldn't be giving you more. I apologize. But I'm still gonna hit send.

lauren - for you, the world. Of course! We've been thinking and planning that for a while. Just had to get through the book and the Emmy applications - now a few speeches and a trip to New Orleans to make smoothies for 2000 Hurricane Katrina survivors in 2 weeks. I'd say we'd be ready to shoot our first one by May (fingers crossed). I sooo want to do that! Good thinking producer lady! xoxoxo

Well, I just wanted to let you know that we celebrated Earth day with 1 candle. well, except occasional bathroom trips and only for that time bathroom light tuned on. (I got kids, you know). We were out almost the whole evening and on our way back when I told my hubby that its Earth Day and when we get home, nobody should be turning on lights so he goes , well, may be I should drive for an hour more with car's lights off. LOL.
My kids had a blast ....it was such a nice family bonding time. LOVVEd it. We decided we should do Earth Hour every Sat or Sun. Really it was an hour of peace and bliss.
Happy Earth means Happy Us.
love and blessings to all.
Hope everyone loved Earth Hour.

HELLOOO! Earth night was a roaring success here. We rushed home from Target..home of all fun things, got the popcorn and raw Earth balls out, lit the fire and candles and had lots of fun. We played music, sang, played bingo, told scary stories (mostly about me, cleverly disguised as "mummy mommy"hmmm.. and finished with a few crazy games of twister. I will be doing this at least once a week. The bonding was incredible and we all got to laugh togther, which is priceless.
I will post pics on my blog tomorrow..
night night earth lovers!

At 7:45 I remembered! Ran to the basement and got all my candles... put them around and we made a fire in the fireplace... family all sat around and chatted for the hour. Even Seamus my 14 month old grandson had a blast. Played with his toys like it was a natural daily occurrence. Actually... he was more settled now that I think of it... hmm... natural light... calmed soul. Connex? Perhaps..
His Auntie did crossword puzzles by candlelight.

Someone mentioned that this event was started by a child? Bravo if so.

See you all around the campfires real soon.
Towanda Strong. :o)
