Happy Healthy Monday!

Hi loves,

Couldn't sleep last night so I trolled the internet for chow info. Check out this article I stumbled upon by Patricia Bragg, she nails it and talks about much of the yummy stuff we at CSL believe in....

From the article:

"Dr. Patricia Bragg lectures in cities around the world spreading the mes sage of health and wellness through The Bragg Health Crusades. She believes that humans can live to 120 years old and she says, “not on support cock tails of drugs and hip replacements, but with super energy and total health.”

“You are what you eat, drink, breathe, think, say, and do,” says Dr. Bragg, as she recently returned from a five-month Health Crusade to Hawaii, New Zealand, and Australia. She has the youthful skin, suppleness, vitality and an agelessness that confirms her message, “your life will be transformed if you are a good health steward.”

Here's the link for the rest: http://www.visionmagazine.com/archives/0804/feature_bragg.html

Check it out and tell me what you think. Patricia is proof that we can be crazy sexy healthy at any age if we take care of the temple god pod!

Note: If you are a canSer patient - her fast is not for you. Fasting with sugar and vinegar are not advised. As always, check with the man (or gal) in the white coat first.

Peace and knowledge!
Kris

Kris, thank you so much for this article. I've been juicing and trying to eat mostly raw for a while now and I've also just started dry brushing, which feels so good! I started getting headaches and tried figuring that one out, assuming it must have something to do with caffeine, but now I realize that's just part of the detox and it doesn't last. My skin feels great. I love Bragg's suggestion that fasting is a self miracle cleanser. That's next on my list of "must trys", I have never fasted - or at least I've never lasted longer than a few hours, but I really want to give it a try next Monday for 24 hours as she suggests. I would love company/support if anyone wants to join in for a little spring cleaning!

Hey honey lamb
I love me some BRAGGS! the whole family and their sesame ginger dressing, eat it daily. Her dad started all this, with the apple cider vinegar, fasting, etc.

I, too, would like to try a fast. Never have done it, and am worried that it'll make me feel dizzy and sick all day--the way I feel if I wait too long to eat something after my morning green juice. My days are very busy, and feeling dizzy and sick isn't on the agenda. Can anyone share their fasting experience?

She's very inspiring. It's taken me awhile to warm up to the taste of Bragg aminos, but I love em on those Buddha bowls Kris turned me on to.

Anne, low blood sugar, headache, dizziness and feeling rotten are exactly what I'm fearing and why I"ve never done it. I'm on my feet all day at work too, it'll be rough. So I'd love to team up so we can get thru it together! Just knowing someone else is going thru the same fast will be great support. It'll be great to flush our bodies, and I'd love to see if I can actually get thru 24 hrs. It sounds like it's fine to drink green juice, but I'm going to try to stick with the water/cider vinegar.

I just picked up my first bottle of Bragg's Amino Acids a few days ago. It was popular at the ashram:) Fasting once a week is something that I've wanted to adopt into my life. This is yet another reinforcement that I should make the effort. Kris-any tips for getting through your one-day fast per week?

Awesome website!!! Thanks for sharing the "best of the best", Kris!

I, too, have concerns about increased weakness and/or dizziness from fasting.

Also, can someone exercise while fasting?

I'm going to try to find Dr. Bragg's book on fasting at the library today.

Have a happy and healthy and fun day everyone!

OK, gang - tomorrow we will chat fasting. Let me gather my info today for the post. Let me say again that I personally wouldn't fast with vinegar and I wouldn't do the master cleanse either. The only fast I recommend is juice/green smoothie fasting. More tomorrow! xoxoxoxo

Thanks for the article!

I'm so glad you're going to post about fasting. I want to do a juice/smoothie fast next month for a week or more.
I may need to eat raw salads once a day or every other day, i don't know.
Also, I think incorporating a once a week juice fast would be good or maybe atleast biweekly for a beginner like me! Hmmm...

Yeah, a fasting blog, how fun. Kris, while you were on your honeymoon a bunch of us gathered for a group fast. I think most of us did the juice/green smoothie fast that Kris talks about, also from Dr. Young and PH Miracle. It was fun and helpful to do it with others....if anyone is up for it again let me know. I plan to start one April 15th. (I am waiting until then because I am going away next week and won't be able to fast while out of town.)
can't wait!

Hey...
Love Ms. Bragg's info and all, but really love the ring of flowers on her hat!
Gardening in pearls, gotta love it. She's a class act.

Moving towards a self miracle cleanse now that remission is here. Hoping to find a chemo and cleanse balance that works.

I'm thinking that the last remnants of M&Ms will have to be banned from the house then huh? dang. Seriously 'shelf control' is the best for helping me from the sugar demon. I do love agave and lemon, but it's just not as fast as two wee M&Ms! hahaha.

Stick to the plan and go raw!

wow... and thanks for the boost to the booty going to old coot canser camp. I'm thrilled and oh so thankful. I didn't even see the comment here until I was about to close the page. That Deb chick gets around town! I'm very impressed with her and the posse for helping.

Thanks again,
